GCALS Outside training credit process

Outside training credit process
Effective January 1, 2023
Staff attending training that is not issued by GDC may
request GCALS Elective training credit by following the below process. You
will be allowed up to 24 hours of outside training credit per year.
- Complete the
GDC GCALS Outside Training Request Submission form (see Attached
PDF file)
- Users must provide
Proof of Attendance in one or more of the following formats showing
Course Name, Username, date, and hours:
i.
A Certificate
ii.
Sign-in roster
iii.
Confirmation email
- If it is a
Ga. POST qualified training, User is responsible for reporting training
to POST.
i.
User must provide a copy of the POST Training Submission
Cover Sheet that was sent to POST.
- Submit the
Request Form and the above listed documents to: otc.request@gcals.zohodesk.com
- If the course
qualifies for credit it will show on your transcript as: GDC - Outside
Training - xx hours
- Users must
keep their own records and certificates for validation of credit.
- Process time
will be 4 to 6 weeks for credit to show up on the Students Transcripts.
